Does anyone have personal experiences with the service: http://moneybookers.com ? ([info]palmer_kun, I'm looking at you, help? ><)

Are they reliable? I've heard testimonies of people being able to withdraw their money in the Philippines, but I can't find anything about Malaysia. Are they secure? Do they really do what they say they do?

Thanks in advance.

You have NO idea how appropriate I am to ask about this.

As you know, I work for an online poker site. Moneybookers is one of the online payment processors we support and use :)

If they weren't secure and trustworthy, we wouldn't use them.

Normally I'd recommend NETeller, but they don't service Malaysia. Moneybookers obviously does - even though their Serives page doesn't list Malaysia specifically as a country, there is the option to display their fees in Ringgit. As you're not specifically listed, you fall under the International heading.

Basically, you put your money in your MB account either via credit card (Visa et al), or via bank wire transfer (SWIFT). Wire transfers usually take a week to process.

Making a payment out of your MB account has a 1% fee based on the total, to a max of MYR 2.40.

You can withdraw funds from your MB account to your bank via bank wire. Again, this takes about a week. MB will charge you MYR 8.50 for this service.

They are safe, they are secure, they are legit. My company wouldn't go near them if they weren't. For all that we're involved in online gambling, we are VERY ethical and paranoid about security.

So yeah. I have no personal experience, but I have a business understanding of them, and trust them on that basis. You can always ask their customer service further questions if you need to.

Also, FAQs are fun: http://www.moneybookers.com/app/faq.pl

I was going through Google to check out their reviews and I saw that they serviced online Poker companies too. A loud ka-ching! went off in my head immediately and I thought of you. ^_^

I read the Faq and all, but I wanted someone who would actually be dealing with them to give their opinion. Thank you!! *Hugs*

We've been using them for about 2 months now. We have thousands of people using it every day.

So yeah, haven't personally dealt with them, but they are legit.
